Logistics giant DHL Group announced plans to invest approximately €160 million (USD$186 million) in France between 2026 and 2027, with a focus on strengthening its logistics infrastructure and supporting its clean energy transition.
According to DHL, a significant portion of the new investment will be directed toward sustainability initiatives supporting its goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from logistics-related activities by 2050, with key initiatives including expanding the company’s electric vehicle fleet and charging infrastructure, increasing the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), deploying solar energy systems across logistics sites, transitioning heavy-duty vehicles to low-carbon fuels such as biodiesel, and continuing the electrification of warehouse equipment and implementation of energy-efficient building technologies.
